I had missed a call on my phone, so I quickly checked my voicemail. There, I listened to a message, telling me that I may need to go check my email~~where I would find an email telling me that I am on Step #7! I didn't even finish hearing the message, but instead ran to the nearest computer. Yep, it was true! I'm 'officially' on Step #7! All I could do was say, "I'm on 7! I'm on 7!" Of course no one knew what I was talking about until I could calm down enough to explain it, in my mumbled up adoption-world jargon.
I'm telling you, time has flown by...when I make myself sit down long enough to think about it. The past 7 weeks have really flown by! I'm constantly praying that time continues to fly!
I try to keep telling myself that I just need to utilize this 'waiting time' to my advantage. Smell the roses; nest; read a book; take a trip; expand on my retail therapy. All those things that almost ALL adoption blogs and lists tell you to do.
I try to do a little here and a little there, but I'm telling you, whoever said retail therapy was GOOD...well, let's just say that I've grounded my debit card for a bit! If I keep going, my little man is going to have a spring/summer closet and a fall/winter closet...complete with matching accessories i.e. hats/sunglasses/shoes.
No, I'm exagerrating a little bit...but I'm going to have to try my hand at some other "waiting" adventure...Perhaps Vietnamese cooking! Anyone feeling lucky?

So, from step 5 to step 7 in about 10 days. Have no idea if that's fast or expected. How many more steps??? I am excited for you, too. He is a cute little boy. These photos look soooooo sweet and adorable. Want to know what to do with them? Look on my blog. lol...

As to what to do during the wait...I didn't buy a thing. I didn't clean a closet. The room wasn't painted. I didn't have a crib. I didn't try Vietnamese cooking...I was a total SLUG but I did "find" a favorite slot machine!! Do what makes you happy!! Hang in there!
