Geeeez, could this past week been ANY longer? Me, the clock-watcher...I did my durnedest to push time to go faster...it didn't work! It was just eternally s-s-s-l-l-o-o-o-o-o-w-w-w-w!!
This week has been just the most hazy, groggy, wonderful week, EVER! Everyone and their brother keeps asking me, "Aren't you excited??" "umm, no, I'm not...!" NOT! I'M ELATED! SCARED!! OVERJOYED! NERVOUS!! I wish I could do one of those "Tabitha-twitch-of-the-nose" things and be there, RIGHT NOW!
Wednesday, I got my visa and our plane tickets!! WooHoo!!! I just stared at them. It , at that moment, hadn't sunk in that I'm leaving my home, to go to Vietnam, to get my S-O-N! It almost seems like I'm speaking some sort of foreign language when I say , "My Son..." " I'm leaving on Thursday to get My Son"..."My Son is living in Vietnam..." FOREIGN, I tell you!
I got my 'final' height and weight update yesterday afternoon...boy, that was even strange, yet wonderful, to read...F-I-N-A-L...
As of September 3, 2008, Tanner weighs a whopping 18.8 pounds! Chunky Monkey for sure!
Last night, I made a midnight Wal-mart run to get the menial last minute things like toothpaste, batteries, band-aids, etc.
Ohhhhh, mid-night people at Wal-mart can be quite freaky! But nonetheless, I got what I went there for, and put everything in it's rightful place in, what's becoming to be, the worlds heaviest suitcase! But hey! What's a girl to do, when going to FINALLY get her son from Vietnam! I'll pay the charges at the airport, I don't care, JUST GET ME TO VIETNAM, PRONTO AMIGO!!
T-MINUS 127 HOURS AND APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES, I'll be boarding the plane as a single somewhat young woman--only to come home some 14-15 days later as Mother and S-O-N!

You're almost there Kelly....it won't be long until you're holding Tanner for the first time. Can't wait to follow along!!! Get some rest (I know...it's not likely)...but try. Once you have him, you will spend many moments just staring at him instead of sleeping :)
